Jane Crowfoot Halley Beaded Pouch
Patterns

Jane Crowfoot Halley Beaded Pouch

£6.95
When I am on a night out, I find large bags cumbersome, and I always worry about putting it down and forgetting about it. I tend to travel light and often just pop my bank cards, a couple of keys, my phone and maybe a lipstick into a bag before heading out. A small pouch is the perfect size for me, and I especially like cross body bags with long straps which mean I don’t have to worry about taking it out and losing it! I have a few bags that meet my needs, but I wanted to create a special little pouch that would be just the thing for a sparkly evening out or party – the perfect little accompaniment to that extra special outfit and I am so happy with how this project turned out. I chose three yarn shades for my bag and two bead colours, but you could simplify things by using one yarn and fewer bead colours, or you could really glitz things up by making each beaded hexagon a combination of yarn and bead colours. I am excited to see what you come up with.

Pompom Quarterly Issue 38

£12.50
Issue 38: Autumn 2021 Our Autumn 2021 collection celebrates trees: their roots, branches, and everything in-between! In our 38th issue, you can look forward to luscious cable patterns which mimic labyrinths of roots and statuesque boughs, clever colourwork and textures designed to imitate oft-overlooked plantlife, and patterns which reference the enchanted forests of fairy tales. Autumn is a transitional season, so alongside trusty pullovers and cardigans, you’ll find accessories which are perfect for furling in your coat pocket or rucksack for when the weather takes a chilly turn. Featuring designs by: Anna Husemann, Audrey Borrego, Catherine Clark, Denise Otter, Reed Keyes, Heidi Kästner, Tyra Smith, Yi?itcan Vatansever & Zanete Hussain. Burrow down into Issue 38 and you'll find two articles, a tutorial, and a recipe in addition to nine knit and crochet patterns! Dawn Henderson invites us to introduce magick into our handicrafts by sharing her experiences of Hoodoo (or African American rootwork). Drawing on her expertise in microplastics, Tereza Pavlíková raises important questions about the textile industry and pollution, and Caitlin Ffrench demonstrates how you can make charcoal and ink from dried plant material! Issue 38's knit and crochet garments will keep you toasty from the outside, but Fi Churchman’s ginger pudding recipe will warm you from within!

Marie Wallin Wren

£6.00
Finch - Marie Wallin ‘WREN’ is one of two designs I have created using Baa Ram Ewe’s Titus yarn and is one of my first designs not using Rowan yarn! It has been such a pleasure designing with this lovely 4ply yarn as it is beautifully soft and a dream to knit with. This design is a fitted shape and will equally look good with a tweed skirt or a pair of jeans. It is a good first fairisle garment to knit if you are new to fairisle knitting as it is worked entirely in the round and therefore knitted constantly on the right side. Recommended yarns: Fingering/4ply

West Yorkshire Spinners Winwick Mum Sock Pattern Collection

£9.00
Winwick Mum Sock Pattern Collection - Christine Perry Each of the patterns in this book has been designed with the adventurous beginner sock knitter in mind. My aim has always been to encourage beginners to understand how a sock works from cuff to toe, and to not only enhance their sock drawers but also their well-being as they discover the simple pleasure of knitting in the round. If you can knit and purl, you can knit socks and once you can knit socks, you can knit anything. Start with plain socks if you've never knitted them before - or launch straight in with the pattern that you like the best. Be fearless. It won't be long before you're wearing your hand-knits and your feet will thank you for it, but do be warned - sock knitting is addictive. With much love Christine Featured yarns - Signature 4ply

Laine Publishing Neons & Neutrals – A Knitwear Collection
Patterns

Laine Publishing Neons & Neutrals – A Knitwear Collection

£32.00
Neons & Neutrals: A Knitwear Collection Curated by Aimée Gille of La Bien Aimée is a sequel to Aimée’s first book, the best-selling Worsted. This collection includes 16 patterns from 16 talented designers. It is an eclectic selection of patterns that invites crafters to combine yarn in new and unexpected ways across brands and bases. The designs showcase modern knitting at its best, using a variety of techniques and unique and unexpected color combinations. Most of the patterns are photographed in two different samples – worked in different colors and yarns, giving you ample inspiration for your own versions. The collection celebrates solidarity and cooperation: to showcase the many talented people in the knitting community. Aimée has put together a collection of not only patterns from designers around the world, but yarns from a variety of producers and dyers. All of them work beautifully together and different sizes and price points have also been taken into account. The book features designs by the following designers: Inese Sang, Maaike van Geijn, Karen Cronje, Anna Husemann, Layla Yang, Caitlyn Turowski, Cecelia Campochiaro, Valerie Ng, Maysa Tomikawa, Florence Spurling, Lotta H Löthgren, Brandi Cheyenne Harper, Marie Régnier, Susan Chin, Brienne Moody and Julia Wilkens. Aimée Gille was born and raised in the United States, in Kansas, and later moved to France, where her passion for knitting was reignited. In Paris, where she now lives with her family, she first opened L’OisiveThé, a wonderful knitting café, and later La Bien Aimée, a yarn company whose gorgeous hand-dyed yarns are sold worldwide. Her book, Worsted, was published by Laine Publishing in the fall of 2021. In Aimée’s own words: “My goal was to curate a knitwear collection that you’ve never seen before. Neons and Neutrals is a collection full of unexpected colors and textures that hopefully will invite you to knit beyond your comfort zone. I believe anyone can wear any color or texture as long as you believe in the fiber story you are making.”
  • 16 knitting patterns (4 sweaters, 4 cardigans, 4 shawls, 2 hats, 1 vest, 1 cowl) Sweaters and cardigans are graded into various sizes, reaching from size 1 (30” / 75 cm bust circumference) to at least size 8 (or 60” / 152 cm bust circumference).
  • The book features designs by the following designers: Inese Sang, Maaike van Geijn, Karen Cronje, Anna Husemann, Layla Yang, Caitlyn Turowski, Cecelia Campochiaro, Valerie Ng, Maysa Tomikawa, Florence Spurling, Lotta H Löthgren, Brandi Cheyenne Harper, Marie Régnier, Susan Chin, Brienne Moody and Julia Wilkens.
