£22.00
PRE-ORDERS ONLY. This magazine will be shipped on 5th March or will be available in store from the 7th March. If other items are ordered at the same time as this pre-order everything will be shipped together on the 5th March. Laine Issue 24, March 2025 Our lovely spring issue, Laine 24, Brushstrokes, is here — full of creative energy and soft, joyous spring colours! The photos were taken in an artist’s studio, in all its vibrant, inspiring chaos, and a lush, green park with old deciduous trees and quiet pathways. The knits are delicate, feminine and refined, featuring beautiful textures and interesting techniques. Issue 24, Spring 2025, includes:
  • 148 pages
  • 12 knitting patterns: 4 sweaters, 3 cardigans, 1 vest, 1 top, 1 shawl, 1 collar and 1 pair of socks.
  • An interview with Nanna Einarsdóttir, an Icelandic software engineer, knitter and startup entrepreneur who aims to create the perfect online tool for knitters.
  • An article about GOR Woollen Mill. With ethically and locally sourced fibre, produced using renewable resources, this Australian mill makes some of the most sustainable and socially conscious yarn available.
  • Jeanette Sloan’s column Fibre Talk, where she meets Helda Panagary, a disabled crochet designer, blogger and activist based in London.
  • The Five Ways article, where we learn to knit more ergonomically with the help of experts.
  • Where I Knit: A regular piece that pictures people knitting in their favourite spot. In this issue, we meet the Tokyo-based Aldo Cass, whose two passions are crafts and tea.
  • Seasonal recipes to inspire your spring cooking.
  • Book reviews.

Pompom Quarterly Issue 15
Patterns

Pompom Quarterly Issue 15

£9.50
Issue 15: Winter 2015 Time to feast your eyes on our glam-tastic winter edition - all inspired by the Art Deco and Art Nouveau stylings of iconic 1960s-70s British brand, Boba. We have ten modern knits designed through the lens of the Biba aesthetic, which in turn was inspired by even earlier periods. We shot part of this issue in a 1920s style cocktail bar in London and in the spirit of reviving vintage trends (as Biba itself did in the 1960s and 1970s) our winter recipes are new takes on classic cocktails, adding a little extra seasonal spice and sparkle. Featuring designs by: Bristol Ivy, Olga Buraya-Kefelian, Cirilia Rose, Rachel Coopey, Courtney Spainhower, Kiyomi Burgin, Jemima Bicknell, Sophie Scott, Amu Van De Laar, Clare Lakewood. We are particularly smitten with Katie Green's Bowerbird comic, which beautifully illustrates the unending potential and dreams we have for newly acquired yarn. In addition to lovely illustrations, we have some excellent writing for you this issue, with articles on Activist Embroidery by Francesca Baldry, Lora Angelova's explorations as a Heritage Chemist, and Anna Maltz shares her ideas on beating the winter blues. So get a head start on beating those blues and join us in embracing the glamorous side of winter knitting with this line up of woolly lovelies.

Pompom Quarterly Issue 33

£12.50
Issue 33: Summer 2020 The theme for our summer issue is the sun - as we've moved through the classic elements of water, earth, and air for our quarterly inspiration we next looked to fire, by way of this life giving star. The designers have embodied its energetic colours and radiance as their inspiration, creating pieces for this season to enjoy from sunrise to sunset. This issue has two covers, we just couldn't decide on one this quarter! But don't sweat, no matter which cover you receive, exactly the same wonderful content is inside. Featuring designs by: Paula Pereira, Amalia Sieber, Rachael Reese, Isa Catepillán, Nataliya Sinelshchikova, Wencke Pertermann, Erica Sufka, Sandra Gutierrez, Ezgi Tandogan Onat, Julia Wilkens, Marjan Gouda. The sun also shines on Kat Goldin's recipe, a simple handmade pasta flavoured with sun-dried tomatoes and our fun crochet tutorial which accompanies Marjan Gouda's scrunchie pattern. We feel so lucky to have incandescent artwork by Juju Vail to accompany vibrant photography by Shingi Rice, and luminous jewellery from Ilista Studio styled alongside our collection's pieces.
