Nicki Trench Super-Cute Crochet
Patterns

Nicki Trench Super-Cute Crochet

£12.99
Super-Cute Crochet - Nicki Trench Designed with simplicity in mind, it's the perfect book for beginners as the toys are made up of only the easiest stitches. Based on the Japanese craze of amigurumi, the craft of creating ultra-cute crocheted creatures, you'll be sure to find a friend that you'll love. Each toy has its own unique story, so why not get to know the whole family? There's Nicki, the author, Andy the Alien, who came to Earth in search of cheese, and Boris the Baby with his political ambitions. You could also pay a visit to Mr and Mrs Bertie Buff-Orpington, the dancing chickens, and spend some time with their constantly growing brood. Down on the farm you will find a whole bunch of mischievous animals, like Ned the Goat, who thinks he's a chicken, and Pickle the Puppy, who is training to be in the Olympics. Say hello to Camilla the Pretty Pony and she may even take you out for a ride through the fields. If you're looking for some more exotic animals there are plenty here too, like Squiddly Dudley, the octopus who decided to join the Navy, or catch the Fish Brothers before they head off on their world tour. There are even some special toys for Christmas, including Sparkles the crooning Snowman and Ralph the Red Nose Reindeer. All the patterns are so simple and easy to follow, all you need is a hook and a few basic stitches and you'll have crocheted your own cute friends in no time.

Arnall-Culliford Knitwear Confident Knitting A Third Year of Techniques
Patterns

Arnall-Culliford Knitwear Confident Knitting A Third Year of Techniques

£20.00
Jen and Jim Arnall-Culliford of AC Knitwear have a passion for teaching knitters new techniques clearly and simply. How confident are you when it comes to your knitting? When you see a pattern that uses an unfamiliar technique, do you dive straight in? Or do you find yourself knitting the same sorts of projects over and over again? There’s so much to be gained from learning something new, but all too often, people shy away from it. Confident Knitting: A Third Year of Techniques is designed to help you tackle new projects with, well, utmost confidence! This technique-based programme features twelve patterns, from twelve amazing designers supported with twelve photo and video tutorials – giving you twelve chances to find some new joy in your knitting! Confident Knitting follows a similar format to our previous books A Year of Techniques and Boost Your Knitting, but, like both of those publications, is a completely self-contained programme, so there’s no need to have already worked through any of our previous publications! Techniques covered in this book are: Amazing blocking Catching floats in colourwork Embroidering your knitting Folded hem Garter stitch short-row heel German twisted cast on for ribbing Grab stitches I-cord cast off Modular knitting Mosaic knitting Reversible cables Vikkel braids A Year of Techniques brings you 12 patterns and tutorials to upgrade your knitting skills. With projects from world-class designers accompanied by clear step-wise tutorials and online videos, there’s always something new to learn. Techniques covered in this book are: Afterthought heels and thumbs Garter stitch grafting Helical stripes Intarsia Judy’s magic cast on (both for starting closed tubes, and as a provisional cast on) Knitting on a border Mastering dominance in Fair Isle knitting Pinhole cast on (also known as Emily Ocker's circular cast on) Reading cables from charts Short rows Steeks Turning a heel

Purl & Jane Piccadilly Tank Top
Patterns

Purl & Jane Piccadilly Tank Top

£4.50
Piccadilly Tank Top - Purl & Jane by Jane Ellison This is inspired by classic cables yet, as I do with all my designs, I worked on several swatches to make this an easy to knit cable. One, where once you were familiar with the repeats, you may sit and relax with it knowing when to cable and when to do your knits and purls. I love to design cable patterns that all have the same row repeat in them. The same row repeat means you can get to know what row to cable as I try to make this happen on all the techniques at the same time. The neck is square, so there isn’t any tricky working out of how to decrease over the cables, and it gives the tank top another classic touch. I love a good cable and this was fun to knit! I hope you find it fun too.

The Crochet Project Three fom the Top
Patterns

The Crochet Project Three fom the Top

£12.00
Three from the Top - The Crochet Project A collection of three crochet cardigans for babies, children and women. At The Crochet Project, if you can’t wear it, generally we don’t make it. And our favourite thing to wear is a cardigan. Whether it is a cosy cardigan to snuggle into or a light one to slip over your shoulders to keep the chills off, cardigans are the ultimate all season wear. Cardigans do variable weather and heating systems better than anything else. We have included an extensive size range to make this a go-to book for everything from baby gifts to enhancing your own wardrobe – there is a size to suit every person in your life. The advantage of this is that if you are nervous about the time and financial commitment of making for yourself, you can build up your confidence by making the designs in a smaller size first. Top down seamless design is our favourite way of working. You can try on as you go to ensure great fit. There are no seams to sew and very little finishing to do – minimum time from fastening off to wearing it. Crochet has plenty of natural structure in the stitches that seamless garments hang very well. All of the designs call for 4ply/fingering weight yarn (although one is listed as sport weight). This is a collection of cardigans we know you are going to love to make and love to wear. Each has a quiet simplicity to it and enough detail to keep it interesting. All patterns are written using standard UK crochet terminology (with US conversions given in the abbreviations) and charted where appropriate.
