Jane Crowfoot Delft Blanket
Patterns

Jane Crowfoot Delft Blanket

£8.95
The Delft crochet blanket was inspired by Jane's love of blue and cream pottery. She loves the way the octagon motifs create the idea of tessellating decorated plates. I have always been a lover of blue and cream pottery. When I was a child we would often visit my elderly auntie for afternoon tea and so were used to seeing the ‘Willow Pattern’ on sandwich plates and teacups. The pattern featured an elaborate Chinoiserie design that was popular towards the end of the 18th Century. Despite having an oriental style of design, pottery featuring the Willow Pattern originally came from Stoke-on-Trent, but a lot of pottery featuring the design also came from China via the East India Company. Finished blocked measurement: approximately 105cm (41 1/4in) x 160cm (63in)

The Crochet Project The Shawl Project Book 3
Patterns

The Crochet Project The Shawl Project Book Three

£12.00
The Shawl Project Book Three - The Crochet Project A collection of five crochet shawls using Fingering/4ply yarns. We really weren't expecting there to be a The Shawl Project: Book Three. Despite so many requests, we decided it wouldn't be right unless we had a great new idea. Book One was all one skein shawls, Book Two all two skein shawls, Book Three would need to have a purpose too (and three skein shawls seemed a bit tenuous). We knew Book Three was on its way when we were at a wool festival and kept musing on the uses for all the lovely mini skein sets we kept seeing. The patterns work well whether you want to invest in mini skein sets or if you want to use up small amounts of yarn left over from other projects that is just too nice not to use (sock knitters will identify with this problem in particular), with each pattern using either a 100g pack of 4ply mini skeins or a pack of mini skeins and an additional 100g of 4ply yarn. In this book we share our love of shawls with five new designs and show you the secrets of shaping them. Patterns are written using UK crochet terminology with US conversions given in the abbreviations section. Patterns are charted where appropriate. Schematics are provided throughout.

West Yorkshire Spinners Winwick Mum Sock Pattern Collection
Patterns

West Yorkshire Spinners Winwick Mum Sock Pattern Collection

£9.00
Winwick Mum Sock Pattern Collection - Christine Perry Each of the patterns in this book has been designed with the adventurous beginner sock knitter in mind. My aim has always been to encourage beginners to understand how a sock works from cuff to toe, and to not only enhance their sock drawers but also their well-being as they discover the simple pleasure of knitting in the round. If you can knit and purl, you can knit socks and once you can knit socks, you can knit anything. Start with plain socks if you've never knitted them before - or launch straight in with the pattern that you like the best. Be fearless. It won't be long before you're wearing your hand-knits and your feet will thank you for it, but do be warned - sock knitting is addictive. With much love Christine Featured yarns - Signature 4ply

Purl & Jane Bempton Tank Top
Patterns

Purl & Jane Bempton Tank Top

£4.50
Bempton Tank Top - Purl & Jane by Jane Ellison Those of you that know my patterns will be very familiar with the stitches I used on the Bempton Tank Top….it is the same stitch pattern I used on the Bempton Jumper and then on the Bempton Mittens, which started out as a mystery retreat project! I love this stitch pattern, it looks more complicated than it is. I’ve always loved a cable jumper but I wanted to give my cable jumper a little more detail than just cables. So I added a moss stitch panel. The Bempton Jumper is knitted in aran weight yarn and the Bempton Tank Top is knitted in 4ply weight yarn. I am loving how the same pattern looks so delicate in a 4ply weight yarn compared with an aran weight yarn. As I have mentioned before and before and before (!!) I love designing simple easy to knit patterns. One that the knitter can just sit and relax with and to this end I’ve put one of my front neck edges on this tank top. It is so simple to knit yet looks very classic.

Marie Wallin Wren

Marie Wallin Wren

£6.00
Finch - Marie Wallin ‘WREN’ is one of two designs I have created using Baa Ram Ewe’s Titus yarn and is one of my first designs not using Rowan yarn! It has been such a pleasure designing with this lovely 4ply yarn as it is beautifully soft and a dream to knit with. This design is a fitted shape and will equally look good with a tweed skirt or a pair of jeans. It is a good first fairisle garment to knit if you are new to fairisle knitting as it is worked entirely in the round and therefore knitted constantly on the right side. Recommended yarns: Fingering/4ply
