Purl & Jane Bempton Tank Top
Patterns

Purl & Jane Bempton Tank Top

£4.50
Bempton Tank Top - Purl & Jane by Jane Ellison Those of you that know my patterns will be very familiar with the stitches I used on the Bempton Tank Top….it is the same stitch pattern I used on the Bempton Jumper and then on the Bempton Mittens, which started out as a mystery retreat project! I love this stitch pattern, it looks more complicated than it is. I’ve always loved a cable jumper but I wanted to give my cable jumper a little more detail than just cables. So I added a moss stitch panel. The Bempton Jumper is knitted in aran weight yarn and the Bempton Tank Top is knitted in 4ply weight yarn. I am loving how the same pattern looks so delicate in a 4ply weight yarn compared with an aran weight yarn. As I have mentioned before and before and before (!!) I love designing simple easy to knit patterns. One that the knitter can just sit and relax with and to this end I’ve put one of my front neck edges on this tank top. It is so simple to knit yet looks very classic.

Carol Feller Akoya
Patterns

Carol Feller Akoya

£5.00
Akoya - Carol Feller This spring I wanted a versatile, stylish and flattering cardigan that was simple enough to be worn with just about everything. This cardigan keeps the basic styling simple, its short style is worn with negative ease, but small lace and cable details at the hem, cuff and neckline keep it interesting. As the waist band sits just below the natural waist the wide ribbing pulls in snugly without needing to decrease the stitches. The bustline is designed to fit with a little negative ease which creates a form fitting garment without any side shaping. Worked from the bottom up body and sleeves are joined at the yoke and worked together in one piece. There is minimal finishing when you are done, just bands and a small underarm graft. Recommended yarns: Fingering/4ply

The Crochet Project The Shawl Project Book 5
Patterns

The Crochet Project The Shawl Project Book Five

£12.00
The Shawl Project Book Five - The Crochet Project A collection of five crochet shawls using laceweight yarns. At The Crochet Project we love a good shawl, and we know you do too so we are back with another collection. All the previous books in the collection featured designs for 4ply/fingering weight yarn. This one is a bit different: each pattern uses laceweight yarn. I used to be slightly afraid of finer yarn, I found it fiddly and thought it took too long to work up. But as I started to play around with it, I created patterns that are naturally quick to grow and where the need to find tiny spaces to put your hook are minimised. Now I love laceweight: it gives a finesse to every pattern you create with it and the delicate stitches can add a layer of magic to even the most ordinary stitches. The shawls themselves are light as a feather and so small to pack into a bag. As for the extra time? Just see it as better value for money on your hobby! The ultimate in slow fashion. Find the joy of laceweight for yourself with this selection of five patterns. This pattern is charted and written using standard UK crochet terminology (with US conversions given in the abbreviations).
