West Yorkshire Spinners Bo Peep Great Adventures

£13.50
Bo Peep Great Adventures - Emma Varnam Ten matching crochet designs for both bear and child. An adventure shared is what makes it great and for many generations a teddy bear has been the best companion a child could ever have. Teddy bears have a special place in our hearts. We love them, hug them, tell them our secrets and as our first best friend, we want to take them with us wherever we go. With this special collection, we're inspiring you to fuel a child's imagination by crocheting a faithful playmate for them - the adorable Bo Bear. There's also a wardrobe of matching clothes and cool accessories for both child and bear to wear together. It's the perfect way to turn each day into a 'Great Adventure' for a little someone you love and create a family heirloom to comfort and inspire generations of adventurers to come! "I love making toys. To see the joy and sparkle on the face of a child. That first kiss and hug as a you hand over a new best friend - that is a priceless moment. As a child I loved dressing up my teddies and going off on adventures together. By creating these matching designs you can sprinkle a little extra magic into play time. I can't tell you how excited I am to share these designs with you and know that the fun and love you put into each stitch will be enjoyed by children who receive them." - Emma Varnam Featured yarns - Bo Peep Luxury Baby DK

Purl & Jane Piccadilly Tank Top
Patterns

Purl & Jane Piccadilly Tank Top

£4.50
Piccadilly Tank Top - Purl & Jane by Jane Ellison This is inspired by classic cables yet, as I do with all my designs, I worked on several swatches to make this an easy to knit cable. One, where once you were familiar with the repeats, you may sit and relax with it knowing when to cable and when to do your knits and purls. I love to design cable patterns that all have the same row repeat in them. The same row repeat means you can get to know what row to cable as I try to make this happen on all the techniques at the same time. The neck is square, so there isn’t any tricky working out of how to decrease over the cables, and it gives the tank top another classic touch. I love a good cable and this was fun to knit! I hope you find it fun too.

Purl & Jane Crag Jumper
Patterns

Purl & Jane Crag Jumper

£4.50
Crag Jumper - Purl & Jane by Jane Ellison A simple cable looks so effective while at the same time being so exciting to knit! In this design I used two of my favourite cable patterns – one I call the honeycomb, I’m not sure if this is it’s ‘official’ name but it makes me think of bees and honey every time I see it, and the other the cable plait. This pattern evokes feelings of childhood and playing hairdressers and plaiting my sisters hair…..which then naturally progressed to finding scissors and properly playing hairdressers!!

Laine Publishing Echoes: 24 Modern Knits Inspired by Iconic Women

£35.00
Echoes: 24 Modern Knits Inspired by Iconic Women by Susan Crawford Echoes: 24 Modern Knits Inspired by Iconic Women features knitwear patterns dedicated to incredible women — both real and fictional — who have influenced the designer Susan Crawford’s life. The array of icons includes authors such as Beatrix Potter and Virginia Woolf, the musicians Cyndi Lauper and Kate Bush, as well as activists, artists, garden designers and more. This versatile collection features a variety of styles and techniques. It includes cardigans, sweaters, vests, and a dress, as well as shawls, socks, hats, mittens, a blanket, and even a tie. Susan created the designs to resemble heirloom pieces, well-loved and handed down through generations, with stories interwoven into their fabric. The book showcases the continuing impact of others on each of us, and how inspiration often works: creating layers within layers, echoes within echoes. Susan Crawford is a British knitwear designer and author with her own hand-dyed yarn range. She is known for her work on modernising vintage knitwear patterns. Echoes is Susan’s eighth book.

Pompom Quarterly Issue 19

£9.50
Issue 19: Winter 2016 With the arrival of winter comes the opportunity to revel in our favourite woolly pasttime as we move towards colder months. While the light and seasons change we can look back at the year so far and take stock of what we've made and learned. The inspiration for our Winter 2016 issue is 'reflections', interpreted in many ways by our contributors in articles, cocktail recipes, and a beautiful set of illustrations. This theme has also been translated into stunning knits by our designers; abstract forms of shadows, or refracted light on water became the inspiration for the playful symmetry and elegant geometry of these eleven designs. Featuring designs by: Julia Farwell-Clay, Justyna Lorkowska, Clare Lakewood, Kiyomi Burgin, Sachiko Burgin, Francesca Hughs, Solène Le Roux, Georgia Farrell, Linda Dubec, Tatyana Scotce, and Sarah Shepherd.
