Designed by Helga Isager, Helga’s First is knitted in Silk Mohair, Jensen Yarn and Alpaca 3 yarns held together. The body of the sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up to the armholes. Then stitches are bound off for the armholes and front and back are worked back and forth and finished separately. The shoulders are knitted together and bound off and the neck edge is worked. Then stitches are picked up along the armholes and the sleeves are worked down from there, making it very easy to adjust the length.
