This two-colour brioche dickey is the coziest layer with sweaters and jackets! The dickey journey begins with a luscious turtleneck for ultra warmth. An increase and decrease form a biased section that fold down for a stylish asymmetrical detail. Additional increases flare outward in the yoke. Rotate the dickey around your neck so the corners lay square on your shoulders or shift the fabric so the increase points are centred. The yoke length is customizable so you can have dickeys in all sizes!

Stephen West Rockefeller

Rockefeller was originally published as the second Westknits Mystery Shawl in 2012. It is worked in four sections. The first section features short row wedges that form a crescent. Stitches are picked up in the second section and worked in stockinette stitch with yarn over shaping. Garter stitch intarsia stripes decorate this section. The bottom border in the third section is achieved with slipped stitches and finished with an I-cord bind off. The final wing tips are easy garter stitch stripes with I-cord edges to finish the architecturally inspired shawl.

Graphic parallelograms decorate the centre of the shawl with a simple intarsia cross. You can bind off early after the three main colour garter ridges for a smaller shawl or continue with the pattern as written for a larger shawl.
