Jane Crowfoot Willow Blossom Cot Blanket

£6.95
This pattern for this design was first released a few years ago as a scarf design called Japanese Blossom. The colour palette has since been updated to fit in with my Delft blanket design, so it is written for blue and cream shades in a DK weight yarn. I think it is a great stash busting project as it is brilliant for using up little bits of left overs!

The Crochet Project Easy Everyday Wearables

£12.00
Easy Everyday Wearables - The Crochet Project A collection of five crochet garments and accessories. Easy Everyday Wearables is all about fuss-free crochet designs that are stylish, timeless and very wearable but only use basic crochet skills. We've used chunkier yarns for quicker makes but not sacrificied our usual attention to detail and fit. All patterns have inclusive adult sizing with three options for accessories and XS to 5X for garments. The book contains lots of information about choosing the correct size, understanding the pattern and working to the correct tension. All of the patterns are made using a pared back skill set, there are no tricky stitches or techniques needed. We know that there may still be some extra skills needed so we have included some relevant photo tutorials too. Maybe you've learnt to crochet and you've just started to look for patterns you want to make. These patterns are all suitable starting points to begin making a wardrobe of beautiful custom fitting woolies - this book is for you! Or maybe you've been crocheting for ages but want something to make that isn't too taxing but will still look amazing - this book is also for you! Jane Crowfoot Persian Tiles Blanket
Patterns

Jane Crowfoot Persian Tiles Blanket

£6.95
This crochet blanket design is based on traditional Persian ceramic patterns. The project is relatively simple in construction, consisting of just 4 different motifs; the main octagon piece surrounded by variations on granny squares and triangles. In 2013 I designed a project for my crochet club using Persian and Moroccan textiles and architecture as my inspiration. The resulting blanket was exclusive to my crochet club members, so the pattern is no longer available. It is a theme I wanted to revisit though, as the colours and shapes work so well in crochet and we are constantly asked for a project that echoes the original design. This blanket is simpler in construction than the original crochet club project and there are just four different motifs within the design; the main octagon piece, of which you need to make sixteen, is surrounded by variations on granny squares and triangles in shades of blue and cream. The project is relatively simple to make and I really enjoyed designing it. Pattern available in UK & US terminology, includes written instructions and charts. Blocked measurement: approximately 115cm (45 1/4in) x 115cm (45 1/4in).

Pompom Quarterly Issue 44

Pompom Quarterly Issue 44

£17.50
Issue 44: Spring 2023 You never know what the day will bring with spring, so it’s the perfect season for layering! All of the pieces in this issue play with opacity, texture, and colourwork, layering techniques, tones, and transparency - sometimes all at once! Our initial inspiration for this issue came from layering in images such as risographs, shadows, and superimposed photos, which got us thinking about printing and how it works. As a print publication, transferring the words and images we craft so carefully onto paper is part of what we do. We’ve also invited two equally awe-inspiring people to model our knits for you this season. Angel Joy Flores and Alicia Roth Weigel are both activists who work towards a more equitable world for the LGBTQIA+ community in Texas and beyond. More than ever, representation of trans and intersex people is vital and we were honoured to work with them. Featuring designs by: Klara Nilsson - Klaryberry, Maren Odenthal - Knitterista, Jess Kavanagh, Julia Madill, Ara Stella, Susanna Kaartinen - Sanna and Co, Joanne Fowler, Amalia Sieber - Kindred Red, Soraya García Issue 44 also includes a celebration of the art of screen printing by Mei Stephens, who muses on the parallels between printing and knitting, and Hannah McGregor’s second contribution to Pom Pom, this time taking on the colour yellow and its cultural history. If you’re looking for a sweet treat, our recipe for bebinca, a layered Goan dessert, will have your mouth watering!
