Kinross 4ply is spun by Todd and Duncan, on the shores of Loch Leven at Kinross. The yarn is hanked directly from the cone without being scoured. It feels crispy soft at first (and is lovely to work with) but when washed it blooms and softens beautifully and feels almost like cashmere. This yarn REALLY benefits from blocking after knitting - the lambswool, already soft and luscious to knit with, blooms and softens and becomes an amazing fabric, with no change to the tension.
